Well Its about time.................................................

I have neglected this blog havent I!!! Oops, I suppose life just got in the way as it usually does. I have made a couple cards for other people but, work, kids life got in the way.

Ist up was a comissioned 50th Birthday card, made by using Arty Farty designed bottle the templates can be found at numerous place I got mine at this site. The templates are really to use but you do have to do all the cutting out of the templates yourself which can be a little tiresome.
I got my templates from http://www.craftydevilspapercraft.co.uk/search.asp but they can be purchased at any good craft shops or internet sites.

Next up is a Valentines card that I made for my hubby. I went for Red and white dotty backing papers, the heart in the middle is stamped and heat embosed, and a tag in the centre as you open it up saying, Dotty about you. Very simple, but says all I needed it to.

Last but not least was a card made for my little girls teacher who was leaving for Maternity leave. simple backing papers, with a baby mobile hanging for ribbon and mini pegs with a small tag saying from here to maternity.

I will try and not leave it so long next time before posting again.....

I was asked to make 2 cards for a 18th Birthday for a celtic MAD!!! young man I think I carried this off rather well.

I googled for the celtic badge and decoupaged the badge for the main thing on the card, a nice touch adding 18 today to it, also him being the man of the match.

The second card a simpler card was wanted for her other son. I found a comic sketch of his favourite player for a little touch of fun. I really hope he likes his cards and Happy Birthday Matey!!!!!

Something Fishy going on

Something a little fishy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well I normally struggle with male cards, but today I have made 2, one being this one and the other I have posted on the craftzone blog. This is a 3d decoupage card by using an unknown sheet, with a oval cut out using an Xcut and a good times, label.
I have neglected my card making a little this week, but I will make up more stock as Im looking into Mr site and see if I can play around and see if anyone wants to buy them, There seems to be loads of Handmade card sites around maybe I will try making other little things besides cards ..................instead of them clogging up my cupboard.

Benjamins 9th Birthday Card

Well I made this card for my son Ben who is 9 tomorrow. I have made a silly mistake by not including any face detail on the little sissix boy but hey ho I will pop it on later. Ben is into his computer games like the playstation so wot better to put on his card. The little sissix people I got from http://www.craftydevilspapercraft.co.uk/ a few weeks ago and havent up until now to play with them.

Also a couple cards I have made recently

Heat Embossing

Well I tried heat embossing today and here is the first result. I stamped the flower onto white card and using black embossing powder and heat tool. I used chalk for the flower and sprayed to fix the colour. Then very carefully cut out. The ribbon is scraps from a Tshirt I had bought. Along the bottom of the card is some embosing using a light box!! Quite please with my effort though could be a bit more of a wow facter if I put in the effort....

pretty card for a pretty girl

A pretty little card made with papernation 3d decoupage paper and scraps of paper and silver card for the mirror, a card for a little girl Im sure my little girl would love this one. This card took quite a while to make if you include the time taken to cut out the pieces but well worth it looking at the end product.
